Seeking new ways to reach, educate and collaborate with fellow creatives, Artletic and Limber Creative have decided to launch a new blog that will address the daily ins and outs of small businesses.
The blog, dubbed “Design Litmus,” will explore the tests, quirks, problems and observations that go along with life as a small business owner, particularly in the design industry. Pulling from experience, research and lessons learned, Design Litmus articles will hit on topics ranging from best business practices to new web applications to client management advice and recommendations. Future entries will also incorporate added value pieces such as video interviews with other creatives in the industry.
After much brainstorming and collaboration, the framework for this custom site is already underway, combining concepts and techniques from both designers. Aiming to do it right the first time, Limber Creative and Artletic have chosen to build the blog on a robust content management system to ensure organization and flexibility in the backend as the site grows.
Prior to launch, local design colleagues will put Design Litmus under a fine microscope to offer their feedback on the layout, content and overall concept. Because the blog lends itself to collaboration, Design Litmus intends to invite guest bloggers to share their wisdom, rants and opinions beginning this fall.
Design Litmus is slated to launch in late June of 2009. In the meanwhile, visit us on twitter: @DesignLitmus.
Update: Since the official launch, Design Litmus continues to reach new audiences daily, receiving acknowledgement from notable design sites such as The Denver Egotist and Undrln.com. The site is also listed as a community partner with the respected creative meetup group, Indie Arsenal. We are grateful for the strong support and encourage your feedback and suggestions and we continue to move forward.
